My Story

My path into event planning began long before it was ever a profession—it started with a natural instinct to organize, coordinate, and bring people together. In middle school, I planned a trip for my entire graduating class to Six Flags. What began as an idea quickly turned into a full-scale project: budgeting, organizing transportation, coordinating chaperones, and making sure every detail was accounted for so the experience could run smoothly. Even then, I found joy in the process of turning a vision into something tangible that others could enjoy.

As I continued into high school, that instinct only grew stronger. I enrolled in a technical program focused on hospitality and event planning, where I gained hands-on experience supporting events like the Rhode Island Seafood Cookoff. One of the most memorable experiences was working on that annual cookoff, which gave me an early understanding of the many moving pieces behind successful experiences: logistics, coordination, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Those early experiences led me deeper into the hospitality world, where I developed a strong foundation in anticipatory service. With a background in Forbes luxury hospitality, I learned that exceptional service isn’t reactive—it’s thoughtful, intentional, and proactive. The most seamless experiences are created when needs are anticipated long before they arise.

For the past six years, I’ve worked with Smoking Pickles Catering, heading into my seventh season. During that time, I’ve had the opportunity to support countless events while learning from an incredible team. I’m especially grateful for the mentorship of Sally Huntington, one of the co-owners, whose guidance has played an important role in shaping my understanding of both hospitality and event execution.

These experiences ultimately led me to create The Lorol Effect, a service rooted in thoughtful support and anticipatory planning. My approach focuses on partial planning and event-day coordination—stepping in where structure, logistics, and experienced guidance are most valuable while allowing clients to remain creatively involved in shaping their celebration.

I take the time to learn what makes each event unique so I can think ahead on behalf of my clients, ensuring that timelines, vendors, and logistics align with the vision they’ve created. Because the most meaningful moments are the ones where hosts and planners are able to be fully present, confident that every detail is thoughtfully supported.

At its core, The Lorol Effect is about providing intentional, anticipatory support so meaningful moments can unfold naturally.

Support tailored to you, for you.
